Shelton, Connecticut · Fairfield County
Opens Nov 21 usual opening — confirm for 2026
Usually opens the weekend before Thanksgiving (Nov 21–22) — the farm hasn’t posted its 2026 dates yet, so confirm before you drive.
Jones has been a harvest-your-own farm for more than 75 years, and Shelton families plan a whole afternoon around it. Balsam, Fraser and Douglas firs, Angel white pine and Colorado blue spruce cover the hills, with pre-cut trees waiting in the barnyard for anyone who'd rather skip the saw.
The barnyard is half the reason people drive here: a cider and cookie canteen, a gift shop full of ornaments, and the winery tasting room next door. Cut your own and you leave with a pewter ornament, and Santa turns up the weekend before Christmas. Trees run from the weekend before Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve — cutters need to be in the fields by 4.
