Call ahead unconfirmed for 2026

We couldn’t confirm this farm’s 2026 season — call before you drive.

Wolcyn is one of the largest evergreen growers in Minnesota, out on Highway 95 about eight miles west of Cambridge and 30 miles north of Anoka. Seven kinds of tree stand in the choose-and-cut fields — balsam, Fraser, Canaan, Korean and Siberian fir plus Scotch and white pine — and the barn keeps fresh-cut trees for anyone who'd rather not carry the saw. They also run a lot at the St. Paul Farmers Market and one in Northfield for families who can't get up to the farm.

Hand saws and twine come with the trip; no axes and no chainsaws. The crew shakes the tree, bales it and helps tie it down whether you cut it yourself or picked it out of the barn. Hot apple cider, coffee and cookies are free every day, and the gift shop is half the reason people come — Minnesota-made ornaments, hand-painted barnwood signs, puzzles, blankets and Wolcyn mugs thrown by a St. Paul pottery. Come on a weekday if you'd rather not share the lanes.
