The Farms at Pine Tree Barn

Wooster, Ohio · Wayne County

Call ahead unconfirmed for 2026

We couldn’t confirm this farm’s 2026 season — call before you drive.

Pine Tree Barn started as a small Christmas tree farm south of Wooster in 1952 and grew into the place people drive across Ohio for — 150 acres, something like 75,000 trees, a 25,000-square-foot barn full of decorations and a restaurant to eat in afterward. Fraser and Canaan fir, white pine, blue spruce, Norway spruce and concolor fir all grow here, and you can take one already cut or go get your own.

The trip works like this: pick up a numbered tag and a saw from a salesperson, ride the Pine Tree Express caboose or a horse-drawn wagon out to the fields, cut, then drag your tree to the nearest lane and a tractor hauls it back to the barn. Weekend wagons run weather permitting, and a weekend cafe sells hot drinks and hot dogs. Dogs are welcome.

Two things worth knowing. There is a second lot — the North Pole on Valley Road — that only opens certain weekends, so check which one you're driving to. And nobody is allowed in the fields after dark, so if you're cutting your own, be there well before four.
