Crystal Spring Tree Farm
Lehighton, Pennsylvania · Carbon County
Opens Nov 27
Opens the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov 27).
Crystal Spring is the biggest name in eastern Pennsylvania's tree country. The Botek family began selling trees in the 1930s and bought their first ground in the Mahoning Valley in 1964; trees off this farm have stood in the White House Blue Room, at Rockefeller Center, and in the state capitol rotunda in Harrisburg.
For a family the visit is a wagon ride out to the field and a saw — Douglas, Fraser, Turkish and Nordmann fir in the rows, concolor fir and Colorado blue spruce waiting pre-cut. There's a farm store to browse, and nobody minds if you come for the photos and the smell and go home without a tree.
